well this question comes up often and i feel its high time i give a answer how do i teach red?

well as said i have some steps and lists that may help

The Steps of Learning any Tool
1.Teach Correct Form.
2.Build up A.precision B.Rhythm C.Synchronization.
3.Timing to seize target when offered.
4.Application under fighting conditions.
5.Letting go Just being.


In Everyday Training of tools Blend
1.Scientific observation and Tactics.
2.Speed and power.
3.Timing.
4.Deception.
5.keen judgement.

When Teaching a New Skill,Tool,Concept.
1.Provide information on the Tool. History, Root, Concept.
2.Build up concept by Demonstration.
3.Break down the tool into simple steps.
4.combine the steps into one fluid action.
5.Teach application of tool and its options.
6.Combine tool with Footwork and all other tools possible.
7.Application under fighting conditions

Class Teaching overview
1.Stretching:
2.Meditation: "watching the rock grow."
3.Warm up: basic Footwork, Avoiding , 7 cuts 3 targets 3 tempos
4.Core Training: skill work etc
5.Cool Down: tactical lessons,talking time,lecture time,story time,Q and A, meditation

To apply "Stretching" to a video game, how would one do this?

Warm em up by a casual spar? Let em wreak havoc on the pole a bit with their previous tools?

You 'stretch' by doing all the tools you have been thought on the pole in the old familiar repetitive manner. Everything from the 7 cuts to the last thing you learned. And if you make a mistake doing a particular tool then repeat it again. As Hot would say 'To infinity and beyond' :D
